During this time of uncertainties as we navigate COVID-19, our thoughts are with all those affected. Our deepest gratitude goes out to our community members who are working tirelessly and compassionately on the front line – our brave nurses, doctors, grocery workers, government officials, and volunteers handing out supplies to those in need. We salute you, and we wish for your continued safety and well being.

We’d also like to look back at our previous events on March 7 to thank everyone who came out to support our programs and filmmakers. Special thank you to our filmmaker guest Drama Del Rosario for coming down from L.A. to be with our audience both for our KapihanFilm Talk over Coffee and the Perspective Film Series for the special advance screening of his powerful documentary I’m Okay (And Neither Are You) together with Benito Bautista’s feature film BOUNDARY.

Thank you to NTC Foundation, New Americans Museum, and Outside the Lens for this amazing partnership. And of course, on behalf of our partners, we’d like to thank our beloved sponsors and community partners for helping us bring these programs to our community: Smiles of Eastlake, AARP San Diego, Filipino American Chamber of Commerce San Diego, Doughn’t Forget Coffee, and Chi Chocolat San Diego. And to all our hard working SDFC core volunteers including the FilAm Film Collective, we appreciate you!

At SDFC, we are currently thinking of ways to bring you our programs straight to the safety of your homes via virtual screenings and online messaging. We appreciate all those who’ve messaged us, asking us about our upcoming programs. Please stay tuned for news and updates either from our website or our Instagram and Facebook.

Maraming salamat at mabuhay po kayong lahat!
