It’s that time of the year!
The regular deadline for SDFFF film submissions is coming up for our San Diego Filipino Film Festival this year. Regular deadline is on May 16, 2022. We accept film submissions exclusively via our FilmFreeway fest page.
We celebrated our inaugural SDFFF last year with the critically acclaimed film FANNY: THE RIGHT TO ROCK by Bobbi Jo Hart as our Opening Film at the newly transformed Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park and with our Closing Film The Fabulous Filipino Brothers by Dante Basco at the AMC Theaters in Otay Ranch Town Center. Award-winning film creatives including cinematographer Carlo Mendoza, writer/director Kayla Galang, actresses Maria Isabel Lopez, and Mara Lopez were among the few who graced the festival. The whole Basco family celebrated in-person with the audience for two nights of sold out screenings of Dante Basco’s feature debut The Fabulous Filipino Brothers.
